Item details

I created the texture of vintage lace in the surface of this little sweet heart plate and emphasized it by adding fresh lime green glaze to the surface. I left the underside quite plain, with a little fabric texture to create a contrast.

There are many uses for this piece. It would make the perfect holder for a little candle, you could use it to keep keys or jewelry safe, or you could use it as a soap dish. It could even be used to serve a cupcake or tiny treat to someone special. The texture is so pretty that you may well decide to keep it empty for decoration in your home.

This piece measures approx 5 x 4.5 inches (12 x 11cm)

This item is completely dishwasher and foodsafe!

I took an element of the traditional by taking the texture from vintage lace and combined it with a contemporary shape and a vibrant modern lime green colour glaze. It is made from sturdy stoneware ceramic, so it is strong despite its delicate form. I hope that this combination will mean that the objects I create will stand the test of time.
