The tulip motif I used was originally on a 1930s patchwork quilt, in a red and pink colourway on white, and was sewn in cotton using the traditional needle turn method.
I am experimenting with different colours, materials and techniques - this uses 100% wool felt with blanket stitch edging, in strong colours that feel more 1950s than 30s.
Available as both a mini-cishion and a wall art picture, I have also developed these into Sew-It-Yourself Kits - see other listings
